Muybridge 3
Muybridge
MOVING TARGET, 1996

CHOREGRAPHIE : Frédéric Flamand
ARCHITECTE : Diller + Scofidio, New York
COMPAGNIE : Charleroi / Danses - Plan K

création 19/20 mars 99 - Biennale Internationale Charleroi/Danses

For this show, drawing on the works of Muybridge, F.Flamand and Diller+Scofidio focused on the relationship with "truth" which could be established first by photography and then by the moving image, and on the conventions associated with the opposition of the genders
From the everyday elements found in Muybridge's works, have been drawn a series of objects (a spade, a saw, a cup, a mirror,...). The way they are used - or rather subverted - is what divides the show into so many sequences.
